We’re hoping the petition will be assigned to a Select Committee next year, and we’ll try to make more running with the campaign.

A 2% tax on all transactions both internal and xternal will Be a far better way of addressing the tax problem, this will catch all companys including church groups and individuals moving money around to avoid tax’s. By adopting this system the country would be able to do away with all other taxes Personel, Company, GST, Etc, there would be no need for an Inland Revenue Dept as all moneys go direct to the finance Dept.

its hard enough living rural and not being able to afford gas (especialy for emergancys) let alone feed the kids.

There’s a number of media releases and articles on this website about taxing financial speculation.

If you can use your contacts in South Auckland to get more signatures for the petition that would be a great first step. A march or demo in Auckland would be very good, but we would need to get more people helping the campaign to pull it off.

However, we are planning to get as many people outside parliament on Tuesday 16 August when we present the petition to Mangere MP Su’a William Sio. Do you think you might be able to help us with that?
